Prashant’s happy Hampi experience !

Not a lot of people know about the UNESCO World Heritage sites in our God-blessed country, India. From the Kaziranga National Park to the Ajanta and Ellora caves to the Darjeeling Railway, there are innumerable such beautiful places. One such site happens to be Hampi, located near Hospet town in the colourful state of Karnataka. Hampi is a backpacker’s paradise and in the same way, a pilgrim’s delight ! Surprisingly, one of our guests, Prashant had the wonderful opportunity to take a solo trip to Hampi, and we’re sure it was a happy Hampi experience !

Q. How did you get to know about us, and was your trip a pre-planned trip or a surprise trip ?

Ans. Actually, I saw an advertisement on Instagram. After going through your profile and your work, I filled out the survey form after which Sanket called me. He asked me a number of preferences and options, and I couldn’t really settle on a place, so he suggested Hampi. It was a pre-planned trip with the destination suggested by Sanket.

Q. Did you receive the teaser email and the envelope ? How did you like it ?

Ans. I actually asked Sanket not to send an envelope because I wouldn’t be able to receive it, plus my trip was planned in a very short duration of time. So, Sanket only suggested that he would send all the details on email. I was happy that way because it’s more handy, and it served my purpose too. I really liked the itinerary – there was a description of the destination, and details of places to visit and food centres. It included my day to day plans, all planned in a very detailed manner.

Q. What were some of your special experiences during the trip ?

Ans. I liked my stay a lot. The accommodation was amazing, Shankar homestay was what I was accommodated in. It wasn’t a proper hotel, it was a homestay. The manager there, Mr. Ramu was really nice. He was kind enough to get me all the details, and help me roam around. That was really nice. I really liked the places in Hampi, it was beautiful.

Q. Was the trip different from any of the trips that you have taken in the past ?

Ans. Yes, I can definitely say so. I was on a solo trip to a new location, so I was totally on my own, and you get a fresher perspective that way. It was a very good experience, exploring things on my own and taking care of myself. I really liked how Sanket was always in touch, and took care of the smallest of things. The services, too, were pretty better than most other trips that I have taken in the past. I had asked for a vehicle, and it was there, wherever I went. WanderTrust | Hampi

Q. How was your overall experience ? Please rate your trip on a scale of 10.

Ans. The acco was pretty good, and I loved the experience ! I loved the itinerary, everything was so detailed. I really liked the way people were carrying themselves in Hampi, and it was a very different, relaxing and surreal experience. No one would disturb you and it was very calming. Nothing was haywire, and it was a great and happy experience. I would rate the overall experience an 8/10.
