“They know in and out of the place, it’s like they’re the locals”
We’ve often heard them say, but you wouldn’t be too eager to meet them, would you? 😛 But let us just say that they know everything about your dream place too. That is exciting, isn’t it? Not as much as listening about Harsh’s solo surprise trip to Kochi and Alleppey and then planning one such trip for yourself right here! Well, the above were some kind words of Harsh Valke our solo traveller.
Harsh came in touch with the WanderTrust family through Instagram and that is when he decided to go plan a trip and explore the adventure, considering that both surprise and solo trips are not very common.
Ans: It was overwhelming. They had described the place and I was expecting to be Kochi or Gokarna and it eventually turned out to be Kochi. I am an architect by profession and Kochi is like a dream place. I could not visit it earlier and thought I will be going there next year. Moreover, Alleppey was like a cherry on top!
Ans: To be honest, it was very informative. Google will give me a lot of places, but the itinerary talked about the best places. I even asked the locals about places that I could visit and they mentioned the same stops so yeah I did like the itinerary.
Ans: I took a bike; it was pre-arranged, and I did not feel any inconvenience. The pickup of just one bike was a bit far away from my stay so I booked a cab on my own, that was all nothing much. It was all smooth overall.
Ans: I was in a hostel both the times and a hostel for a solo trip is amazing. The Alleppey hostel was better in terms of hospitality and staff response but the stay for both places were amazing. The sort of backpacking experience you get on these places are unmatched.
Ans: I have this amazing memory where I visited a beach in Kochi, it was 20 kilometres away from my stay, but the whole ride and the beach itself was worth it. I then visited this beach restaurant, more like an amazing shack, the owners were Dutch and would come out and talk to the customers occasionally, enjoying and interacting and they had their live band which was splendid to witness at the beach-side.
Ans: I would rate it 8/10 and I don’t have much to say but just that the way WanderTrust sends in mails, it’s so exciting that you become inquisitive to know what’s happening and the concept is pretty nice, so yeah great work!
We often stop ourselves from doing uncommon things, but the question is do you really want to? And if there is even the slightest chance that your answer matches with ours, head to our website and let us plan a solo trip together!
